New Years Eve 2007

With the 2007 year almost completely behind us, the next big deaf social event in our Louisville area will be hosted at Southeast Christian Church on December 31st, 2007 at 7pm. This is the one big event that the major deaf ministries in Metro Louisville area chip in to help out financially, spiritually and, of course, physically to provide a Christian entertainment setting with dramas, music, games, fellowship and a guest Deaf speaker. This year we have a great team of Deaf leadership coming together from all three churches (Louisville Baptist Deaf Church, Graceland Baptist Church of New Albany, IN, and Southeast Christian Church) All three will provide volunteers to do something on stage for the Deaf community leading something of their interest. About 5 dramas are set up, 6 songs to be interpreted, and 3 to 4 games will be done. The theme has been selected, the food has been ordered, and the team will be having several more meetings before we have a overall program laid out.

We also will provide the opportunity for each of the 3 churches to promote their church’s events, service times, etc. This has not been done in the past before, to my knowledge. Please keep the New Yrs Eve leadership team in your prayers as we prepare and pray in the next upcoming month.
